Temple Trip, Movie, and Tutoring

I didn't realize how long it had been since I got on last, I have been to busy on facebook. So we got to go on an all day trip to the temple last saturday. It was really fun, but right after my dad left the church, my shoe broke, so I was walking around everywhere with one shoe. Then, I just gave up on shoes period. They are probably my favorite pair of shoes, I was very sad. This would be the second time that shoe has broken. But it was really weird walking around the temple with one shoe on. Then we went to Mcdonalds for dinner after, and that was disgusting! By the time I got home, my feet were black. It took forever to clean them. Just a couple hours after I got back from the temple, my friend and I went and saw The Uninvited, it was a really good movie. I still can't figure out how some of it ties into the rest. On Tuesday, I went to tutor people after school, but there were like five tutors, and two people who needed tutoring. I actually got put with a kid, but he was only there because his mom was making him. He knew how to do his work, so I sat and did my homework for like an hour and a half, and he left about an hour into it. But I got my homework done, so I just got to go home. But it still counts towards whatever we get for going. They don't count it as volunteer hours though. Speaking of volunteering, I LOVE volunteering at the library. It's soooo much fun! We just do random things. One week I got to make mouse hats, and we get to decorate the windows in the meeting rooms, and the kids area. Then when they did the gingerbread house decorating, we helped with that, and then we got to make our own. They always make fun of my friend and I for being too quiet. I still think in my head that we are in the library, so we should be quiet. But it's so loud back where we usually work. It still fun though!

Volunteer work

I totally forgot while writing about the Twilight movie to mention anything about my volunteer work at the library. So I love working at the library. We only do little things, but its usually stuff that wouldnt really get done if they didnt have the help. If they didnt have people to come help with all the preparations for the activities, I dont know what they would do. Thats mostly what i do there. a couple weeks ago i cut out peices for turkey hats, and one week i cut out peices to make reindeer masks or something like that. and just last week, my friend and i made 58 out of 78 gingerbread houses that people are going to come decorate this saturday. it will be the first activity i actually get to help with rather than just doing all the preparations, but either way, its amazing. i really love it. and it could eventually turn into a job instead of just service.

Twilight, Again!!

So, I really enjoyed the Twilight movie. But to be honest, I didnt like it at all when I first saw it. I was trying to compare it to the book and in my opinion, it was nothing like the book. So I decided to go a second time to see if it got any better, and it did. I absolutely loved it!!!! So my friends and I decided one night to go again. It was even better that time. I also noticed a ton of stuff I had missed from the first two times. Now, Robert Pattinson is amazing. I also hated him at first, but he grows on you...if only he looked like Chase Crawford. He is perfect except he isn't really that cute. I love that he not only acts, but he can sing too. And he plays the piano and guitar. It made me like the piano a little bit more. The song 'Never Think' that he sings is amazing. I will admit that he sounds drunk while he sings it, but it is a great song. And his voice, I thought I was going to die. His voice is perfect...singing that is. I hated everyones accent in the Twilight movie. It just didnt fit at all. I loved the movie, and you all should go see it. It was a little bit scary. But I am scared of everything and it only made me jump a little, so its not too bad.

Twlilight!!!!!

Twlilight comes out tomorrow at midnight!!!!! I am sooooooo excited!!!! My parents were nice enough to let me go to the midnight showing with my friends. So we get to hang out after school and then see the movie, and then go back to school. I am going to be soooooo tired, but it is so worth it!!!!! By the way, the countdown for Twlilight is off by a few hours.

My First Job!!!!!!

I have been looking for somewhere to volunteer at for a while, and i was debating on whether i should volunteer at the library or the retirement home. but what helped me decide was when my friend told me that she volunteers at the library. I decided why we were there, i might as well fill out a volunteer form, but i was standing with my friend, when i turned it in, and they realized that i would be volunteering the same day and practically the same time as her, so when they called me and told me i could start Saturday, they mentioned that i would be with my friend. it is so exciting, i get to go every saturday from 12 to 3 whil me friend goes from 1 to 3. i am so excited, i cant wait to start!!! and yes i do realize that i cant just mess around with my friend while i am there, we decided that we would go do something together afterwords on saturdays.

I Survived

So yesterday I baby sat for my mom's friend while her and her husband went to the temple. I knew it was an all day job, but I didn't think they would be gone for ten hours. The kids were good until the very end when they were hungry and wanted their mom. Thats when the screaming began. But the youngest was tired so he went to bed at about ten, and slept for like five hours. He didnt get up till three. That did make it a lot easier, but I was worried. They said that he would sleep from like ten to twelve, maybe one. So when it was about two, I decided to go check on hime. He was fine, but that was a really long nap. I think he would have slept longer, but the oldest was being really loud, and I think it woke him up.

Grrrrrrrrr

So my job for today was to help my sister get her own blog. She didn't have any idea of what she wanted to do. She didn't even know what she wanted her url to be. So we just spent a whole hour filling out a couple simple things. I never knew it could be so hard.
